Tungsten Alloy Cylinder

Tungsten alloy cylinders are the superior product for balancing and weighting cars. Tungsten is 3.2 times heavier than no-lead weighting material often used on cars, thus it enables tremendous flexibility in car design. Incrementally, it contains five 1/2 ounce cylinders, one 1/4 ounce cylinder, and two 1/8 ounce cylinders. Using the incremental cylinders, you can achieve any weight between 0 and 3 ounces in 1/8 ounce increments.

Compared with square tungsten bars, tungsten alloy cylinders are more popular because machining and production is easier. It is easier to take it from the mold after pressing which means less damage. Moreover, it is more suitable for further machining.

Applications for Tungsten Alloy Cylinders

Tungsten alloy cylinders can be easily used for car weighting by drilling one or more 25/64″ or larger diameter holes into the block and then inserting the desired number of cylinders. The hole can then be plugged with a piece of 3/8 inch dowel rod. The product also has uses in military defense, extrusion die use, and various counterweights, such as yacht counterweights, vehicle counterweights, airplane counterweights, helicopter counterweights, boat counterweights, tank counterweights, etc.
